How Does the Updated TDL Work?
Step 1: Open the Multiple Ledger Opening Balance Report
Access the new report available in the Branch-Wise Serial TDL to manage multiple ledger opening balances from a single screen.
Step 2: Choose the Ledger Display Option
Select one of the available options:
All Items: Displays all ledgers, whether or not an opening balance has been entered.
Ledgers Only with Opening Balance: Displays only those ledgers for which opening balances have already been configured.
Step 3: Enter Branch-Wise Opening Balances
Select the required ledger and enter the opening balances for each branch. For example, a cash ledger with a total opening balance of ₹25,00,000 can be allocated as follows:
Branch A: ₹5,00,000
Branch B: ₹15,00,000
Branch C: ₹5,00,000
Similarly, you can enter opening balances for other ledgers and distribute the amounts across the relevant branches.
Step 4: Save the Changes
After entering the required opening balances, save the report to apply the changes.
Step 5: Verify the Branch-Wise Balances
Navigate to the Branch-Wise Report and open the Balance Sheet. You can view the consolidated figures for all branches or select an individual branch to check its respective balances.
